For a couple of months now ive been suffering with very sore tailbone (coccyx). It started of not too bad but now its unbearable!! The pressure and the throbbing are driving me mad, if i sit down at wor for to long it kills if i walk for longer than 10 minutes it kills!!

Is anyone else suffering with this?? is it normal??

Maybe the polyhydromnias is causing major pressure. Not too sure. I believe kerry Katonas was fractured because of the pressure caused by the size of her baby (may have mixed her up with someone else  )

I hope it gets better for you

I have that too hun  When I went to the physio he diagnosed it as an unstable pelvis. It is either the same as, or very closely related to SPD/PGP. It is all related to too much relaxin being released which softens the pelvic ligaments too much and means the sections of the pelvis get out of alignment.

As well as a sore coccyx, I have have lower back pain. It gets worse if I either do too much or do too little - sometimes it is difficult to gage the middle ground though. It often is worse at night and turning over in bed can be agony. The physio gave me a hip strap that helps to hold everything together. It was my midwife who gave me a referral so it might be worth making an appointment with her.

If you google pelvic instability, there is some useful info about it, which might help you decide whether it is affecting you.

Hope you get it sorted. Oh and apparently you can expect the pain to have gone by the 13th week after birth

Hi! I had this in my first pregnancy, and sorry to say it got worse towards the end. I was told that your coccyx can become slighty displaced which can be excruciating. I really feel for u babe if its any help mine went away after the birth. as sugested above maybe talk to your midwife

I have this, but it's not been getting any worse as my pregnancy has progressed so i can only hope its not related to the pelvic thingy.

It doesn't hurt most days but when it does it's painful even sitting down or standing up
