We have a 10 1/2 month old sprocker puppy who has been our life since we have had him, last few days hes not eaten, been so quiet, got cold in his eyes and pale gums, it really hurts me to see him like this.
Did any of your dogs act down with a new baby xx

No hun mine was fine but take to vets and get a booster for him, My mates dog was depressed and can be quite bad for dogs. xxx

I would gt him to the vets for a health check.

You must always rule out a medical condition before assuming its a behavioural problem. It may be nothing to do with bubba, he may just be feeling poorly.

My dogs were concerned when Cam cried initially but no worries now.

The arrival of a new baby is a big change for a dog, so he will need some time to adjust.

Hope he's ok hun

I've just got back from the vets myself. How on earth i managed to juggle the cat, the baby, a bag of cat food, my coat and handbag i will never know!

Yes one of my two dogs didn't eat for 5 days when we bought k home. But he soon came around I think when he realised baby was here to stay xx

Hope it goes ok. They might just give him a lil booster. Just to give him a lil bit of a get up n go lol. hopefully he starts to get used to bubs. just dont forget the dog x x

Hi all

The vet said it looks like stress, all his vital signs are ok and his ways are pointing to stress :( bless him.

This is george xx

Aww george! hes gorgeous!! Hope he gets better. My dog is just a mazy mare. like and old woman so shes always miserable lol x

Aww bless him, he's sooooo cute.

Did the vet give you any advice on how to help him?

You can get a product called Adaptil (previouy known as DAP) and it is a synthetic copy of a pheremone a bitch gives off when feeding her puppies to help them feel safe etc. It might help him to feel more settled- you should be able to get it from your vet. Make sure he has a bed or safe place he can go if he feels worried.

The vet gave us the adapter to that, ive got it plugged in, ive gave him treats n fuss today, he seems happier just still wont have his food xx

Bless him! Hopefully he will come around soon. I'm worried that our little cat will react badly when our baby arrives. She is very dependant and follows me constantly. We have plans for OH to devote time each day to her so she doesn't feel like an outsider.

He'll come round Wilson :) it's a huge change for a dog. Our dog is an old man and is so good natured, I mean he'd be hopeless at protecting our house her just want to play!! He has had days when he's been quiet and gone off food so we try to fuss over him and make sure we play with him more. If LO cries he's up making sure everything is ok and will sometimes bring over a toy for her too lol
Your pup will adapt and will be ok x

Its just sad to see him like this, hes been smelling the adaptor quite alot so hope its working after a £71 vet bill xx

Exercise is a great De-Stress for dogs.

Hes a Sprocker, Springer X Cocker. Both breeds that are built to work most of the day - Has he had enough exercise?Bearing in mind a hour on lead walking for a Sprocker is no good. They need physical exercise as well as mental.

I own x2 9 year old Cockers, They walk 5 miles a day (2 & from work with me) Play fetch for around 30 minutes lunch time, & train with other people at work during the day - in helping to training other dogs. They are I'd say doing something for about 6 hours a day.

I also work with Sprockers as they have plenty of energy that needs sweeping, & at 10 & half months im guessing yours does too.

my springer runs around the fields.like a knobhead getting birds up for an hour and seems to have enough exercise but he has access to the garden all day and walked. x

When I had my pet care company I used to get dogs with stress, kongs are good with peanut butter and cooked liver stuffed inside gives them somrthing to keep there mind busy, you can also put there dinner in side them, fresh air or if they like being groomed its nice to sit on the sofa in the evening with a soft brush makes them feel special, the plug ins are great, did the vet say you can get a collar with it and a spray to put on there bed? Need any help give me pm xx
