My 4 year old has gone and got chicken pox and i feel helpless because she has had to go to her daddies as i've never had them before, i should be cuddling her and looking after her but instead all i can do is text her daddy asking for updates and telling him things he already knows, pointless thread but i just needed to moan as oh keeps saying its not your fault but as a mum i feel like i cant do my job and her dad and his partner are doing what i should be doing :/ xx

Aw hun :( that's horrible! I totally sympathise and would feel awful if it was me. The time will fly and she'll soon be back home :hugs: I'm sure her daddy is looking after her really well x x

I hope it flies not going to have her home til monday, so hoping i can't catch it by then, i suppose im quite lucky that she does have a fantastic dad who is willing to take over so it doesnt harm me or the baby, sat here fed up knowing i havent got her til next week but know she is in good hands xx

Aw, that must be horrible for you. Whenever my little girl is poorly, there is no question that I want to be the one to look after her.
Sending hugs your way, hopefully the spots will stop coming out soon and you can have her home.
In the meantime, build up your sleep reserves cos the itching, day & night, can be exhausting to deal with. My DD turned into a crazed insomniac when she had it. Very upsetting & extremely tiring.
xx

Aww, hope ur lo feels better soon and she comes home to mummy quickly and all better!

aww my 4 yr old had it last month but luckily i had it as a child. it doesnt last long....my girl was back to school in less than a week as doc said they arent contagious anymore once scabbed over. hope shes feeling better soon if its any comfort to you my daughter wasnt really poirly at all...just spotty. she was pretty much her normal self. but it must be hard being away from her xx
