So since friday I was having on and off tightenings. They were pretty constant contractions friday evening. By 3am Saturday morning they were coming along strong so i rang labour ward. I went in the felt baby and they said the reason i was feeling all my contractions in my back was because baby had decided in the space of two days to move back to back. I went to the bath for four hours, where i puked twice and tried my best to get baby to move. By 3pm saturday evening i was still in hospital and only 1cm !! I was completley broken hearing that so i went home. By 7pm i had puked 3 more tiimes including all over the car. I could not get out of car outside hospital for 15 mins. I eventually got to the delivery room. Midwife examined me, while i was having a contraction which was torture. In the space of those hours id gone to 6cm. The pressure nd pain in my back was becoming unbearable id always said i didnt want an epidural but the midwife explained you no longer lose complete sensation and she was right because i got it and the only thing it had any affect on was my left leg NOTHING else. Come 4:30 am the contractions kicked up a serious notch. Midwife said it would be 3 hours to delivery but i decided that was not gonna happen and baby Aila was born at 5:48 May 20th Weighing 7lbs 1 oz. A few stiches were needed but i wouldnt even know they existed!
Aila is the quietest baby ive ever known. I had to wake her at 3am and 7am to feed her. Ive just had to do the same now so we'll see how this night goes! Hope everyone is doing good. I still cant believe its all done, i didnt expect to go into labour for some reason and i think im still in shock !
