how to get more milk from expressing? she bf her 18 month old 3 times a day,but in a few weeks time she wants to go away for a few nights and leave her with ebm at her nannies,only problem is she only gets a few ounces when expressing and wants to leave her with at least 12oz...any tips? xx

I expressed in the bath the other day and got loads!! Drink lots of water, fenugreek capsules from holland and Barrett, expressing at stupid o clock between 2-4am xxx

Try and relax as much as possible, eat and drink good amounts and obv plenty of healthy stuff. And yes best time for me is about 230 300 in the morning, which is a pain as she now sleeps through! Also to keep pumping for about half hour as I seem to have another let down xx

It's a bit tricky, but if she can master it, try expressing off one while LO feeds from the other - cab trigger a faster let down. Xxx

I think normally women have the most left over after a morning feed, why not express that and try to build up?

Also at 18 months she can try cows milk if she doesnt express that much breastmilk if her little one can have cows milk of course.
