Hi ladies, well here goes.
Sat 14th April - woke up at 6.30am and dtd. Not long after I felt like I had a contraction. Didn't tell oh, I let him go to work.
Did the ironing, cleaned up. Contractions were lasting about 20 seconds and coming every 10 minutes. Did some baking with my lo.
4.pm hubby came home from work. Contractions now lasting between. 30-40 seconds. Had 2 paracetamol.
By 8pm contractions were still the same and coming at different times from every 3 min- 7 mins. Phoned hospital she said go get checked but we both agreed I would most likely be sent home. Got there at 8.10, I was 2-3 cm, so the mw gave me a sweep at about 9pm.
As soon as I stood up the contractions came fast and they were very painfull.
After about 30 minutes they sent me to delivey suite.
As soon as I got in the room I knew my baby was on her way.
Got in the pool, think this was about 10pm.
Had gas & air and started to push.
I listened to what the midwife told me and pushed when I felt I needed to.
11.15 pm my baby girl was born, throughout the labour baby was relaxed.
It was the most amazing experience seeing my baby in the water and holding her.
The birth was great, I had no cuts.
By 10am the next day we were on our way home.
Now we're enjoying every minute, I feel like I've won the lottery xxxxx
