Would just like to thank everyone for your messages and I would be delighted to share my birth story so here goes.....it all started yesterday morning when a friend text me asking that we should go down see them as they were 45 mins away camping for the weekend. Seeing as tho there were no signs of her and all my symptoms had stopped to what I thought was slow labour. We decided to go down for the day n make the most it with a couple of friends. We go there had a great day my oh went swimming with his mate and me and his gf sat at the tent havin a girly chat. It go later n we really wanted to stay over the night so the more we planned it the more we wanted to do it. We thought fuck it why not. My oh head back home to pick a few essentials up. As the night went on we decided to head to bed It was very late around 2 or 3 in the morning. Just when I finally got comfy and started to drift off I was awoken by a huge pain that I'd never felt before. Straight away I woke my oh and told him i want to go home I neeeed to get home. So we set off home about 4 and got back about 5 ish. All the way in the car I was having this constant on and off contractions every 5 mins apart ish sometimes even one straight another. It was so painful. I knew this was it I knew I was in labour. We got home I jumped straight in the bath to help ease the pain which was so comforting. I rang the hospital and they told me to come straight in luckily I already had my bag and car seat in the car as we took them with us just in case (my smart thinking) we got in the hospital and I was taken to my own private room with bathroom i was well chuffed as I didn't have to witness other women's labour at the same time (being a first time mum) she examined me and I was 2cm dialated so again the mw ran me a bath and I must of spent from the time I got in there about 6 a good 3 hours just chillin in the bath breathing threw each contraction with uncomfortable pains but i could handle it. I was told to get out the bath about half 10 to be examined again and shocked as I was I was now dialated to 7cm I was starting to struggle a little more with the pains as walking around and rubbing my bump didn't quite do it anymore so I asked for gas n air (fantastic) after half an hour of using this I needed more as the pressure grew increasingly stronger very quick so i had a diamorphine inject and kept with the gas and air. I felt absolutely fucking fantastic i must say. I was so chilled out and calm and able to breath threw them again it was a relief but the time come I had to start pushing. Around 10 to 11 I started pushing and the pressure was imense but I kept at it and rested inbetween each contraction (to the point where I was falling asleep) the mw was shocked how calm and relaxed I was I couldn't believe it myself. I pushed and pushed till finally 11.21am by beautiful baby daughter Layla Violet Allan was born. I had no stitches however I have a small graze inside me which when I go for a pee is more painful than any contraction!! So I haven't been for a pee since about 2 o clock. I didn't poop either and my mw was absolutely amazing she was lovely a nice young girl was very helpful and also the women that bring food round was in a out dropping toast and drinks off for my oh and i she was lovely too. I feel I received excellent treatmeant. We didn't actually leave the hospital untill around 4 or 5 that afternoon as were happy chilling....well chilling sucking away on the gas and air all afternoon I was amazing. We was so chilled out I was in my own little world. But yeah to all you ladies there is hope out there. I had my heart set on a terrible experience and i expected the worst. That would be my only advice to any new mummy's out there. Expect the worst and it's nt as bad as you think. Also I've got loads of little red blood vessels spots up my arms and back from pushin lol they don't hurt just look funny. I also was told i had that pre eclampsia :( but i was honestly fine.*

Would like to wish all expecting mummy's a very good luck and stay calm and keep an opened mind coz you will be fine!

I hope this has all made sense :-/*

Xx
