I've been very naughty...i've been in 3rd tri looking at posts... After having a back to back labour with Tia, I was very worried about being in the same position again...and everyone in 3rd tri says... Have a bounce on your ball... So.. I took the plunge and brought one off ebay... and....

Its wonderful :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I've had so many problems with my back and pelvis, and it just vanishes when I sit on the ball.. Problem is, I think I broke my toe (don't ask, its sooo embarressing.. :rotfl:) yesterday and I can't sit on it long before it swells and becomes uncomfortable.. Baby loves the ball too, I feel no movement when I'm on the ball, but the minute I sit on the sofa or stand up... I get thumped in the ribs or bladder... :rotfl:

Another problem is that EVERYONE else in my family loves the ball too... Trying to evict either DD or DH when I'm not on it is becoming an increasing difficult task... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

oooh!!! I got a ball on Saturday for my yoga class and I've never been off it either!!!!

My back/pelvic pain is totally eased when I'm sat on it...and I have to wrestle with OH for to use it too!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

These things never interested me but when i was in labour with ben, by the time i got to hospital the contractions were strong and painfull and i was swaying my hips from side to side thru them. My midwife asked me if i wanted to try the birthing ball and OMG it was bliss :D

Ben was also a back to back labour and the midwife said the birthing ball helps as it takes the pressure away.

I would highly recommend one now, especially if your baby is back to back :D

probably a stupid question, but are they the same as the gym balls you can get from places like argos? i really want to try one cos my back is sooo sore - mostly due to my crap posture at work!

PURPLE 13

i think they might be but not totally sure. I know aldi soild them not long ago and i wondered about getting one, i presume they would do the same trick.

I think the idea is to not have it inflated to high.

You could get one and try and if its no good just take it back, if i find this baby is back to back i'll be getting one from wherever i can :D

I was thinking of getting a ball, ive heard that lots of woman who are starting labour are told to go back home until the contractions are closer and they bounce on their ball for a couple of hours?

Tiggy xx
