My daughter jodie was really poorly last week and had a real bad chest so last night we decided to pop her in bed with me and her dad slept on the sofa. About 3am she was gasping for breath and i woke to find her not breathing and cold it took aprox 2 mins to bring her out of it we were petrified. We contacted the doctors today they didn't seem too concearned thinbking she may have been asleep with her eyes open. Has anyone else experienced this?
My 2 year stopped breathing in the night for about 2 mins

I can't believe the doctors weren't concerned about that.
It might be sleep apnea but I don't know if it can happen in childhood. Ewan has it and occasionally stops breathing in his sleep.

did you not dial 999 the moment you thought she wasn't breathing. I would take her to hospital to get her checked
