just read that the woman, danielle wails has pleaded guilty to infantcide. do you remember her, she told police that she was tied up and knocked unconscious then two people set fire to her house. well she has admitted it was her and she has been diagnosed with severe pnd.

 

what on earth! I dont think I heard about this, but god that is awful!

yes her baby died and she initally said that she was tied up by two people and then knocked unconscious and then the house was set alight. she said she woke up and dialled 999 with her tongue, but there was a lot of inconcisities (sp).

(this is my opinion, dont know facts). it is sad because of the health system failing and people not noticing odd behaviour that poor little mite has lost his life. it is so so sad.

It is awful, I agree. But so is PND.

They have just opened a ward in my hospital which specialises in new mums with PND, they r inpatients with their babies, I think its a good thing.

I do feel sorry for the mum in a way, as once she recovers from her PND she will have to live with it the rest of her life. ( I know people will disagree)

That's really sad that she felt that poorly she was driven to do that. She'll have to live with the fact that she killed her baby all her life

you feel angry because that poor little one must have suffered. but she must have been so ill.

i read about this and i think it is very sad. I also think it is sad 4 the mother aswell cause pnd depression is something that u can not control if u have it and she had it bad, i had pnd depression after my first baby and i had it quite bad i wanted to harm my baby but luckily i had loads of help and support and was monitered closely, i was gonna b put into a mother and baby place but cause i was not suicidel they decided i was best left at home with my family. anyway 4 years later i love my son more then anything and try not 2 thnk about the what if's. I am praying i dont get it this time around but if i do then we can do something about it quicker.
