I heard from various people that they are certain things thy I should avoid while breastfeeding that can make LO uncomfortable with colics.
Things like cabbage, beans, potatoes. Actually quite lot of the vegetables and condiments...
Is there a list somewhere of what I should avoid?

Tbh honest I haven't avoided anything. I was told by my breastfeeding councillor that if you eat the same foods breastfeeding that you ate whilst pregnant there should be no problems

The only thing in 8 weeks I think had an effect on Harry was after we'd had an Indian takeaway which was pretty spicy but his bad mood the day after could of been a coincidence!

I'd just eat what you normally do when the time comes x

I haven't avoided anything either, and I can't say I've noticed anything with him - just myself when I have beans, LOL!

I've had one experience when u ate ALOT of onions, IE onion bhaji leftovers for lunch then beef stifado (with shallots) for dinner and Tyler got wind and woke up in the night because of it, he generally doesn't get wind.

I've not avoided anything. I have heard that some foods that make you gassy e.g cabbage, beans etc can give baby wind, and spicy stuff can inflame reflux, but it varies baby to baby.

Xxx

On my iPhone - so cant see tickers :(

The one thing that really affected ME, as in either reduced my supply or messed with the taste of the milk was parsley. We eat a pretty set menu each week it's one of the herbs I use a lot and found whenever I would eat it L would fuss at the breast. Cut it out and I cut out the problem. On the other hand eating porridge has definitely helped my supply.

I also avoid anything that makes my breath smell, if you ever sit next to someone eating sour cream and onion pringles you would not want to be breastfed by them. Spicy foods haven't been a problem though or citrus.

I've not avoided anything either. I do think if I eat windy foods I get a trumpy baby but he don't care!

i didnt avoid anything but when she was constipated i drank a whole carton of orange juice and it seemed to help her thru my milk

the only thing that i avoid is fizzy drinks as i was told they give Lo wind and that seemed to be the case for us. xx

lol alyssa always farted like a trooper even in hospital so i cant say the fizzy pop has had much affect on her. im pepsi max mad and usually have a bottle in the house

I was mostly worried about vegetables and fruits as we consume a hell lot of them at every meal...
I am happy to see that not all babies have issues though.
I was just wanting to freeze some dinners so we have ready made food when baby will be here but a couple of people told me that they did that and ended not eating much of it as baby got very upset with some of those

I wouldn't cut anything out yet hun. Only start looking into that if you get problems.

xx

The only thing I've cut out is caffeine but I didn't have it when pregnant either.

Nah not cutting anything. I will probably cook and freeze meals as planned it and we will see when the bean is here how it will go.
I don't drink coffee any way and I sometimes drink tea but unusually make a cup at morning and actually finish it at night lol so I guess that will be no problem.

Im a vegetarian so live on mainly vegetables and fruit, I think because you eat it during pregnancy it doesn't bother them. I do monitor caffeine though just like pregnancy
