...on giving birth it was a bouncing baby boy!!! Everything she'd bought was pink, even the nursery was bright pink. Now she's in total shock and trying to think of a boys name. Now ladies I was going to find out the sex myself but wondered if this had happened to anyone else you know, is it common? X

Oh no :shock: Poor woman - or poor little boy I should say since he's now dressed in pink LOL :) This has never happened to anyone I know but I have heard stories about it, I just never thought they were really true?? I guess I was wrong!

Yes I thought it was an urban myth too, guess not lol x

This happened to a friend of mine, she was told at 20week scan girl then later went for 4d and told it was a boy! She had bought.lots of girly things, luckily she had kept the labels on so could return items!

I keep thinking this will happen to me! I think its quite rare it does happen, so if you want to find out I still would, but do what they did and keep labels on stuff! I've done that, and have a neutral nursery, so I'm covered if they were wrong! :)

I think I'm going to def book an extra scan to 'double check' nearer 30 weeks, surely no mistaking by then lol x

I think it's easier to get it wrong when they say it's a girl rather than when they say it's a boy. I know people who were told girl and had a boy but never known the other way round xx

Holy crap this is scary! I keep thinking this is gonna happen to me, I have loads of pink in and my nursery is purple lol.

Oh my this is a shame! This is the type of thing that would happen to me so Team Yellow suits me :) I've not really heard of anyone I know have this happen to them x

I've been told at 4 different scans now it's a girl - so feeling pretty confident!

I know someone that this happened to a few weeks ago, meant to be having a girl and out popped a baby boy.x

Yeah iv heard of it happen... Both ways!!! Scary!!!xxx

This scares me because of all the pink girly clothes I've bought! Pram and moses basket are neutral so they would be okay. x

Ive posted this before but a chap I went to uni with, he and his wife had their fourth baby earlier this year and they were told on two separate occasions it was a boy and it transpired 'he' was actually a little girl when she arrived, so it defo happens. They had the second scan as they already had three girls and wanted to be doubly sure it was a boy before they bought blue stuff!! xx

This happened to a friend of mine, was told she was having a boy, but actually had a little girl! X

I worry about this and after we found out I had 4 different friends tell me they knew people had the opposite of what they'd been told and both ways too!!!

This has happened to more than enough ladies that come to my salon, enough reason for me to be on team yellow!!!!! X
