Does ur mucus plug have to have blood in it?

Your mucus plug can have blood in it, it can also be yellow or even green in appearance. A lot if the time the plug is a clear jelly like substance that can come out in one big blob, or be lost little by little over the weeks- you may not even notice it.

If it has blood in it then this is a bloody show and is more acurate in saying that labour is soon as it's shows your cervix is changing. The reason for the blood is because of the tiny little blood vessels in/on the cervix... As your cervix changes you can rupture these....causing a bloody show (mucus plug mixed with blood).x

Thats it!! you should get little bits of it nearly eveytime you wipe, and if you wear white knickers they will stain from the constant slow leak of the plug.

ahh well at least a wont be panicking everytime i wipe now lol.
Its a good sign means somethings happening even if its a lil while off yet

This time mine was about the size of a pound coin (maybe a bit bigger) and was a greeny,black,red mucousy lump-labour started less than 24 hours later xx
