Hello,

I've been finding that baby doesn't really kick just wriggles.

My midwife says he/she's in a traverse position and back to back - does anyone know whether this means I wouldn't feel kicks as such? or could it be down to excess fluid? my tummy did measure 3 weeks bigger at the last few midwife appointments.

any ideas?

Hey im due on Wednesday and for about the last 10 weeks my LO was moving differently. He used to be all kicks but them when he started getting bigger it was more wriggles and a stretching feeling. Its only been the last 10 days or so that he's been kicking my ribs loads!

Mine was transverse as well until 35 weeks, and they said that was probably why I was measuring a few weeks ahead. Little did theyknow that his estimated weight would be almost 12lbs now! Im having a c-section tomorrow!

Xx

oooh didn't realise that transverse would make for a bigger measurement - my midwife sent me for a growth scan but the hospital wouldn't do it, said they dont scan just because it measures big.... I think if the measurements continue to be big I'm going to push for one because I am really worried that there's a ginormous baby in there!

That's strange that they wouldn't do it... The only reason I was sent for mine was because I was measuring ahead... Push for a scan, they should be doing it!

Big babies aren't always bad, my MW said it can sometimes make for an easier birth because gravity helps! And under some circumstances little babies can cause more damage!

xx
