Hi Ladies

For the past couple of days I have had ulcers on my tongue. They have not been too bad however last night they became so painful to the point that they kept me awake. Its my own fault, I could stop messing with them and rubbing them against my teeth and each time I did so the pain was horrid. They are mega painful this morning however again I can stop messing with them.

I need to put something on them before I drive myself insane however I a m unsure what is safe to put on them during pregnancy. Has anyone else suffered from this and if so what did you use and did it work?

Thanks xx

salt water ! stings like hell but doc told me its the best thing.
that or put damp salt directly onto it and leave there for as long as u can :)

Urgh i HATE these. I used to get them really bad even before i got pregnant, usually when i was run down. They didn't just hurt my mouth, they just to make my entire head ache! Glands, earache, headache...awful! I agree, salt water is the best thing. Or a good mouthwash. I'm not sure if you can use bonjela when pregnant, but i always found that a bit useless anyway xxx

I get them a lot espcially when tired or run down, i just wet a finger and then dip it in salt and rub it directly on the ulcer it stings like buggary for a few seconds but goes in a day or so, i just cant do with the salt mouthwash so would rather apply it directly!

There's nothing in bonjella instructions that say you can't use it I'm using it at the moment xx

Right then salt water it is urghh, thanks for the advice ladies just hope it helps can't be doing with another night of them stinging like they did last night xx

I've tried the 'Bonjela Once' stuff, it stings like f**k for the first few seconds but grin and bear it and after that, you don't feel a thing and it really does just make it go away.......

In Boots etc it's about £8  but I've found packets in Poundland before now :)

Not sure if it's pregnancy safe, but as it's not exactly digested, as in it's topical but in the mouth, I's think it probably is.

Damp finger, dipped in salt and rub it straight onto them - horrendous but works - good luck!

Bonjella is fine, my doctor recommended it for me to use during pregnancy, there is one for children that is milder

I get them too an have had them a few times some being pregnant. I use corsodol(?) mouth wash. It revolting but it does work to clean and freshen your mouth, plus seems to have a way to get rid of ulcers! Good luck honey! Xxx

Right all stocked up on bonjela and putting salt on them at night so fingers crossed they will clear up soon x
