i went to the biggest mothercare ive ever seen today

i had £100 of vouchers to use that we got as wedding presents to use up

unfortunately i needed to get all the boring things!!! Muslin squares, nipple cream, nappy rash stuff, nappy bin, breast pads, maternity pads- exciting stuff!!

the ONE fun thing i did get was a playmat....but apart from that bigger item somehow i managed to spend £90 on generally crap stuff!!!!!!!

oh well at least i didnt have to pay for it with my hard earned cash

:cheer: :cheer: I loved going to mothercare and buying loads of stuff. I found they didn't have the full range of items available in store though despite it being a mothercare world :? Ended up having to get loads off the website too

I havent bought anything from mothercare - oops i tell a lie, i bought one sleepsuit which alone cost £10!! And a maternity swimsuit for £22. I find it a tad expensive in there. I managed to get my OH to spend £250 in babies r us at weekend, we got all the crib and bedding and loadsa other stuff!!!
:)

yeah its well expensive, i didnt even look at half of it cos i cant justify paying double what i could spend on ebay

i dont think you can get 2nd hand nipple pads and maternity pads on ebay though  :puke:

Didnt go down too well lol

i love mothercare but it is really exspencive only go there with my mum as she ends up paying for everything :)
manda xx

I'm more of a babies r us person but having vouchers is good :) we got some vouchers for our wedding presents too - not mothercare though, but still a lot of them have been spent on baby stuff!

I bought all babys clothes from Tescos. Find mothercare very overpriced for clothes and when I've bought clothes for James from there in the past they haven't kept their shape in the wash very well :(

I bought all the bits for my hospital bag in there (ie, pads, disposable knickers, breastpads etc), and the feeding stuff, bedding and gro bags :D

I have been to Mothercare this afternoon and got rid of £100 just like that too! I have got all the bedding and blankets now and other bits that I needed for my hospital bag like pads and nipple cream etc. Babies are mega expensive!!
I was going to get a baby monitor whilst I was there...they are soooo expensive!?! Has anyone else got one yet? What did you get? How much and where from?

I got an angelcare monitor with movement sensor mat from toys r us for £79.99  I admit that is an obscene amount to spend on a monitor but after James' apnea episodes as a newborn it's something I'm really paranoid about and I think the peace of mind will allow me to keep my sanity.
I still end up checking that James is breathing before I go to bed every night now

I'm getting all the stuff for my hospital bag from the Mothercare website. I was shocked that it was adding up to over £100 - obviously it's not just me then!!!!!

I spent £20 in there just on sanitary towels! Got 4x 48 pack. I remember when I had James I was constantly sending my dad into mothercare to buy more so thought I stock up this time in advance
