We're off to the Brecon Beacons in June and obviously don't want to be pushing a buggy up all those steep hills lol, so thought a moby wrap would he a good idea instead. Then it occurred to me that a baby might get too hot wrapped up against me in the Summer, especially if I get hot from walking - anyone know if it bothers baby? Or if it's unsafe?

Im so glad you asked this as Ive been worrying about the same thing.. I realy want a moby wrap and was looking at getting the special uv protected ones as I live in a hot country.. but its mearly 40c here everyday from june onwards and Im thinking me and baby may both get to hot with the wrap around. Will see who responds to you xx

The Moby people say that its a breathable fabric and keeps baby warm when its cold and cool when its warm.

I've only had mine about 3 weeks and I walked to nursery to pick up dd in the snow with Fraser in the wrap and my raincoat over the top. I never put a coat or anything on him and he was still all sweaty when I got home!!

Sorry that's not really answering the question - maybe some more experienced Moby users will be along soon xx

I've actually gone and bought a sling anyway, it's from a lady who makes her own so it's nice and cheap in case it's no good in Summer. She said it should be fine though as it's made of 100% cotton so we'll see :) At £10 I don't mind it not going to good use lol! This is where I've got it from (well, I got it off her on eBay but this is her site)

It arrived this morning! Not bad seeing as I only bought it Tuesday night! It's fab, I don't know why I didn't get one before, Cahal loved it and felt lovely and secure. Now just to practice practice practice so it doesn't take me half an hour again lol!

Ohh I think I may order one of her aswell.. alot cheaper than the moby and then if its too hot in the heat it wont be a lot of wasted money :D Thanks

Inky - is it the same as a moby in that it stretches width-ways but not lengthways? If so I might end up getting one from her too, what pretty patterns there are!

I've never held a moby but yes, it does stretch widthways rather than lengthways. I like all the different patterns too, got a feeling I'm going to end up with a few lol!!
