I love the name isla its such a pretty name but I don't like the way it's spelt , I used to misprononce it wrong until a friend of my oh called there daughter it.

just out of pure curiosity ... how else is it pronounced?

I think some people just over think spellings and pronunciations but people get it wrong no matter what the name is.

I don't like any gaelic names and mainly because living in Scotland there has been an increase in Isla and Eilidh ... my boys are quite easy to pronounce and spell and we have difficulties v occasionally with people asking. If you love it you love it, just correct people when they pronounce it wrong.
