Want to go shopping tomorrow and we keep being told that Milton Keynes is the nearest biggest shopping place with the best shops to here as I really can't be doing with London on a Sat

Anyone else that can comment on shopping there... is it worth making the effort or should I just get the bus into London?

Need some proper retail therapy.... HELP :D

:rotfl: Would do but a little far from here.

Was so much easier when I lived in Birmingham as I was in the centre of everything, feel quite restricted now :( :D

MK is OK, depends what you want, I'd kind of compare it to the bullring...lots of indoor shops. I've never been to an outside bit of MK so don't know if there are and more shops like there are outside the Bullring/Birmingham city centre.

I didn't know you were from Nottingham! Now that explains a lot!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

If you can get to Brum, it's great Kirly!

I'm from Leicester and all the women I've met from Nottingham have been complete nutters!! :rotfl:

I like MK it has all you need for your shopping! I would go!

I was born & bred in Bedfordshire, we always went to MK for shopping (London that little bit too far...) I still think it's GREAT!!! But that's probably because I remember getting excited about going with my friends on a Saturday when I was 14...

MK is good, i think, and I was impressed with their facilities for baby changing/feeding...

There is also a new Ikea there, and a huge Asda next to it, which is quite nice as well (I live in aylesbury and I had never been to any Asda before!!! shame, shame...i know!! )

Another place that i liked to go shopping to, was Watford. Not tooo far either and there is mamas and papas not too far from the main shopping centre.

my post is probably too late, though!
Hope you enjoy(ed) your shopping trip!

Mel xx

my sister in law is from nottingham. her and her hubby have just moved here from nottingham.

Just got back, just what I needed. :D

I miss the Bullring and shopping in Birmingham and as said above, I just haven't got the energy for London at the mo!

Was fab, spent far far too much money

that was a long day! i went shopping too but it was only for an hour and included halfords!!

did you get anything nice?

:rotfl: :rotfl: silly question :rotfl: :rotfl:

Kids school trousers, kids school shoes...ooh kids are a real joy and blessing

:D plus christmas gifts, a new MASSIVE micro fleece for me as we're off to snowy Sweden to in laws near Christmas, lovely lovely black warm UGG boots.... spent a LOT today

Was fun though :D

Didn't see this before, but Reading is quite good for shopping as well. We have the huge Oracle, plus lots of other shops in the town centre and loads of places for coffee and sitting down. We're only half an hour on the train from Oxford, and the station is right in the centre of town.

I'm from Nottingham originally Budge, but left before the trams arrived. This dates me
