So a few questions about milk letdown..

I letdown ALL the time, probably 2 or 3 times between feeds & at least twice during a feed.

When I do have letdown its really bloody painful! Like really horrible pins & needles in both boobs no matter what side I'm feeding from.

Also according to doctor Google, it all should have settled down at 6 weeks, and Harrison is now 8 weeks & if anything it seems to be getting worse!

Does this all sound normal?

Thanks x

I'd say its just taking a bit longer to settle down, there is a growth spurt about now so your supply will have increased to cope with that.

I still feel my letdown during feeds and I'm 9 months in. It is a strange feeling as I can feel it building, sometimes are more "painful" than others.
It will calm down though xx

I sometimes find it uncomfortable especially when I haven't fed for a while.

I feel the let down occasionally during feeds. It's an odd feeling. I occasionally get it if I've got a long time between feeds so am always wearing breast pads. After an embarrassing incident in tesco when I thought a bottle of fabric conditioner was leaking on me and it turned out to be milk soaking through my t-shirt and jumper I will never be in public without pads in. I was so chuffed at the time that baby had gone almost 4 hours between feeds....! Whoops!

Thanks girls, its better now I'm not clock watching & feeding on demand. I was anyway, but if it hadn't been long I would try & delay it. Now I just feed when he asks & don't bother noting the time (apart from at night haha) x

Mine were painful all the way through breastfeeding last time. Definitely worse when engorged. Had to wear pads for the whole 13 months as I leaked every time it happened.

So it seems normal to me.

I feel the letdown at every feed too (lo is 6 months)... it's always on the opposite side to the one I'm feeding from though. It's like an intense burning, pins and needles feeling for a second or two. I always leak whilst feeding so wear pads too! Xxx
