Milk drying up

Hello Ladies

I decided not to breastfeed in the end and so have left my bb's well alone. They went rock hard and hot on day 3 and leaked a incy bit but the day after they were soft and not leaking. I did as instructed and left a bra on and didnt touch them or get them hot etc.

Am I right in thinking that my milk has dried up now? I was expecting to leak loads and be in agony for a while yet They are still swollen as big as my head but are soft and not painful whatsoever. Im not complaining

I'm not sure but you LUCKY thing! My boobs were agony for about 5 days and leaked for weeks and weeks!

LOL! My Mum says she rekons they have dried up and I prob wouldnt have been able to breastfeed judging by what has happened with them. They are still soft now! I leaned on one earlier and it didnt leak or anything, very puzzling!!

Sounds like they have then hunny! I didn't even have to touch mine and they would leak all over.... such a shame we couldn't manage BF, I used to think what a waste!

Mine were rock hard and ruddy uncomfy for about a week and 2 weeks on they're still leaking a breastpadful every few hours

And this from the woman who was told she only had a 1% chance of being able to breastfeed. Bloody "experts"...

sounds like you've been lucky. good job too, sounds like you're in enough pain already with your lady bits

after i switched to formula when james was a week old my boobs were sore and leaked for a couple weeks.

you lucky thing, mine were agony and milk was just pouring out

With my other babies my milk came in on day 3 and boobs were agony for 2 days then nothing. This time my lovely consultant gave me medication day after birth to dry my milk up and my milk hasn't come in at all!!
