Midwife yesterday and my DD was soooo cute!

Had a midwife appt yesterday and had my duaghter with me as she only does mornings at school at the moment. I told her if we were very lucky and her baby brother or sister behaved we might hear the heartbeat. So got to that point laying on the bed while midwife moved the doppler over me to find the heartbeat when a little voice pipes up;

"Don't hurt my baby sister!"

I was hoping to get a clue about babies sex by the heartrate you know the below 150 its a boy above its a girl so guess what bubs heartrate was? You got it 150 exactly

Ah that's so sweet, cos it's 150 I'd say boy!!!! Mine was 146 which has made me think we're having a boy. I love not knowing and the whole guessing game.

Aah, they say the cutest things. When i was pregnant with my youngest, my middle daughter said she thought the noise of the heartbeatwas a dog barking. She was very confused about what was actually in mummy's tummy!

No idea if the heartbeat thing's accurate. I've been convinced all mine were going to be boys and I've had 3 girls! I think this one is a boy but going by my track record for guessing, I'm not buying anything blue just yet. Looking forward to finding out at the scan though, I can't wait till March! Will you find out?

Is the heartbeat thing true??

My babys is 176 i think, approx, Im gonna count again tonight.

However im sure im having a boy lol dont know why

I felt from the beginning that I am having a boy but my heart rate was always well above 160...

I don't know if the heartrate thing is accurate or just a old (mid)wifes tales I have a feeling this is a boy as well which is going to annoy my daughter as she insists she is having a baby sister. We are going to find out if we can at the 20 week scan as of the 5 of us the only one who doesn't want to know is me

I looked into the heartrate determining sex and most things I found said it was wrong as babys heartbeat can be 120-160 in either sex. There was some research thing done and they were all similar
