Midwife appointment

I've finally got my first midwife appointment today and i'm neally 13 weeks!!! I'm quite excited as i've had to wait for so long for the appointment to come through. I think with christmas and everything i just got forgot about.

Do you think i will still get a 12 week scan??

I had a reassurance scan at 7 weeks as i had a little bleeding and i'm worried that that will be it until 20 weeks!! I could really do with seeing jellybean again to check he's alright and also i want a piccie to show off to people as i didn't get one with my first scan.

hi gem nice to see you back not seen you on for a while and was winderin how you were gettin on.

i'd mention it to the midwife when you se her that you havent had a scan cos normally if they scan you before 9wks then they will give you a 12 wk scan.

Sorry not bin on for a while but to be honest i'm too shattered after work to sit on the computor.

How is everything going with you Lyn?

I'm good at the minute really starting to enjoy my pregnancy and relax a bit more.

I think i've had a bit of a growth spurt over the weekend as have quite a little bump showing, and me and OH have told our friends and work collegues now about being pregnant and have had a lovely response from them all.

I think i'm definately going to push for another scan as really really want one.

you dont need to apologise for not comin on, n i certainly understand how tired ya must be feelin more so seein as your workin.

glad tellin your friends and family went well, i cant keep a secret and had told everyone by the time i was 8 wks

i think you should get a scan maybe ring the hosp directly cos they may have not sent you a letter about it by mistake perhaps?

everything is fine with me thanks, i had my 2nd scan last week and all is well the baby was wrigglin and waving at me it was lovely they weren't goin to scan me but when i got upset about it the midwife was lovely and got someone to scan me there n then, the smile on my face was huge

Well... my midwife appointment went really well apart from me nearly passing out when she took the 5th tube of blood!! I can't believe how much blood has to be taken.

I have got another scan (hooray!!!) and i should hear when that is in the next few weeks. I'm going to be about 16 weeks by the time i have it though!!

She seemed quite annoyed that the surgery hadn't sorted me out with my first appointment earlier, but i told her that i did try ringing them but was just told there was a backlog.

Anyway, i'm sat reading all the info that she gave me and counting down the days until i next see jellybean.

ah thats great news hun bet you cant wait to see bubba im glad its all sorted now.

glad it went well with the midwife and you got another scan

they do take a lot of blood dont they they couldnt get a decent vein on me (they never can!) so she tried in 3 different places before gettin another woman in to do it
