Midwife Appointment and measurement...

Had a midwife appointment today and all seemed to go well apart from the measurment, she shouted out 33.5 which I thought to myself sounded alright. So went to go and sit back down. But then she showed me my growth chart and said baby isn't on the right path measurement wise, she said its slightly on the small side and called the other midwife over who's reaction was 'oooh hmm'! :/ and measured me again.

Midwife has asked me to go back in another 2 weeks to be checked again and if not much developement I'll have to have another scan...

She did say baby is quite far down in my pelvis too with head down and heartbear was lovely and strong.

Just a bit worried about measurement now though, I wouldn't have thought 33.5 would be a worryingly bad size for 34+6 though but I don't have a clue :/

33.5 sounds good for ur weeks. How have ur measurements been before?

I measured 30cm today at 31+5 and mw said it's fine

not sure what to say hun.... I was always told 2cm either side was fine.
I always measured 2 cm ahead. But at my 31 week appointment I measured 32cm so dropped by one, and at my 34 week appointment I measured 34 so dropped again... but nothing was said apart from that it was fine.

Yeah I thought 2cm either side is fine.. I've been low in numbers but they've never been concerned.. I'm 37 at the moment and 38+3..

See it didnt sound that bad to me either but their reaction really worried me :/ they just seemed really suprised and concerned about it all. The fact that there was two midwives there aswell.
Ah well gonna try not to worry about it then and hope bubs grows a bit in the next couple of weeks x

it sounds perfect to be honest lol
I dont get it, I thought you were supposed to be the measurement as your weeks 35cm=35wks give or take a cm.
i measure 38cm and im apparently 42wks cos baby is nice and tucked in my pelvis. dont worry about it.

Thanks girls you've put my mind at rest a bit. Just seemed a bit of an over reaction on their part, she was on about sending me for a scan and all sorts if I'm not much bigger next time x

At least you'd get to see bubs again anyway! Tbh the growth scans aren't even accurate anyway

Don't worry hun, I measured 29 cm at 32 weeks and they weren't concerned. I had my 34wk and was 33cm. It all depends how babe is lying etc so in sure you're fine! X

I wouldn't worry I was rushed in for an emergency measuring scan a couple of weeks ago because I was measuring 4cms below what I should've at the hospital (although the midwife had measured me dead on the day before) and turns out bubs is measuring perfect
