Middle name - what's your thoughts on offending family?

I remember the post Rachael! Must've been a scary time! x

Olive - Baby number 3 will only happen if baby number 2 starts talking within the next 6 months! Good job he doesn't realise how much pressure is on his little shoulders! lol x

Gosh Rach I can remember that come to think of it!

Mil is nice don't get me wrong, that's why I don't want to upset her. they've done loads for us in the past few years, not in terms of support with Brody (that sounds awful) but financially they helped us move house and were extremely generous. They're just cut from a different cloth to my lot I think. I asked someone else this morning who knows my mil and she said she's your daughter but kept it short so I think she does think will offend most likely. I think I'm just going to have to live with it and hope it doesn't upset her too much. I don't think she'd say anything about it other than a "oh after your mum" kind of guilt comment. Cringe.

Claire I completely understand. That's why I'm sticking at 2. I hope so much that there are no problems with syd, but if there are im not chancing it and if there isn't im not either lol. I wouldn't change Brody for the world but it's hard the unknown and hosp appts etc. x

You have to go with the name you want. Our daughter's names are nothing to do with any family names, Eleanor Sophie (she's named after Eleanor de Montfort) but our son has my dad's middle name, William (which was also my mum's dad's first name) and my OH's dad's name, Andrew. So we left out both our mums in that respect and there was never any problem.
