Just a bit of a follow on from Momma Kat's thread...are there any really 'essential' baby medicines I need to get now?
I worked on the beauty bit at boots but I do remember that when I did occasionally get stuck on the health part, most of the 'baby' medication was 3 months+ and there wasn't really anything you could get for newborns.
Anyone know anything different?

can they not take infacol until they are a month or so tho or can that be used from birth?

My midwife told me that it was okay if my little one had gripes in his tummy, just double check when you see yours :)

i got some bonjella baby for teething, thats from 2 months, which i thought was really early for teeth, but im no dentist so not sure, lol got it from wilko for £2.29 :)

gripe waters from 1 month & infacols from birth, ( so it says in infacols website) :)

xxx

our little one is in special care 12 days old but 5 weeks early and they said if doesnt let her wind go they will star giving her infacol so must be ok from birth?? xx

Infacol, a snot sucker  saline nasal drops (for stuffy noses)
Calpol, can be given after 1st injections (8 weeks/2 months) - we were automatically given a prescription off the Dr at our 6 week check.
Most medicines are 3+ months inc, room plug ins (like vicks), vapour rubs.
Ibuprofen is 6+ months
