Is it cheaper to get meat from a butchers or the supermarket? What do you reckon? X

I always found it cheaper at butchers x

I buy monthly from my meatt market which is cheaper than an Independent butchers however I find asdas meat offers are very good their lamb chunks are so nice! !

 fapatalking

My butchers is amazing definatly cheaper than supermarket and you can haggle. I usually get something free too

I think i live in the area where butchers are more expensive!

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

I think it depends where you live, although butchers meat will always be better quality! I'd bankrupt myself if I went to our butchers as they're really bloody expensive! Want to find a decent meat Market tho!

Lol great minds knopk ;) our butchers are high end type places where it's all organic and they know the farmers personally etc! Going back 10 years or so, one of them used to have their own little paddock out the back for their sheep

I think its sort of upper middle class surrounding that makes butchers a posh place to go. And even if i go further out, it'll be Richmond which isnt cheap either. Supermarket for me. Sainsburys basics meat is same grade but for chicken for example its different sizes so i dont mind slightly differently sizes chicken thighs ;)

Depends which butchers we go to! Generally cheaper and better than asda though!

I'd say butchers but then I cheat my uncle owns his own butchers shop and I can fill my freezer for £15 a month :D

Oh my god!! I thought supermarkets would be cheaper...'I'm off to haggle with the butcher tomorrow!!' :) thanks girlies :) x

Butcher, much better quality too. We have a butcher van that comes down our street every thursday so its so handy. Just enjoyed a lovely steak pie for dinner tonight :)

I buy my meat from the butchers attached to the local meat farm. It's very cheap for example rump steak is about £6.50 a kilo and chicken drumsticks are £2.50 a kilo. Its so fresh and very good quality. You can have it sliced however you want it which is always nice.

I don't buy meat from other butchers often because I don't trust the freshness of it I'm afraid.

Can't see tickers on Tapatalk! Sent from my iPhone.

We don't have butchers vans down here :( our old butcher made the nicest mince rounds ever!

Even our farm shops are ridiculously priced! I always get dead jealous when I hear of people getting amazing deals!

Round here supermarkets way cheaper but quality is not as good.

Twice a year we treat ourselves to fresh meat from the butchers :D

Our butchers is more expensive. Our meat van is cheap as chips but the flies put me off

Butchers for sure :)

I couldn't believe the price of my weekly shop :/

We're in an area where the butchers cost a bloody fortune. I'll admit the quality is better, But it's a once in a while thing for us. We've been buying beef from Costco recently - really good quality for the price. X

I was gonna say Costco. Prob same price as Supermarket for things like mince. Way cheaper on chicken (2 big chickens for 6.50). You have to buy large packs BUT quality is much better.

I live near Bury market and buying from the meat/ fish market is a lot cheaper.

Some butchers cheaper but you have to shop around.

Using Tapatalk can't see no tickers grrrrr.
