Hi ladies

Throughout this pg I've measured big-I look very similar to a weeble atm!!

I'm 5"1 (petite) and DS was 9lbs and I was huge last time. Today had appt for 38wks and measuring 41wks.

MW is booking me in for another scan which is fine but I am not ready for this one to come I have my consultant appt on 21st and was hoping to go overdue as we haven't moved back into our home yet with house build and still living with in laws.

I know there are remedies for getting baby to come out but any suggestions for keep in them in!!?!?!

No ideas I'm afraid! All I can offer is sympathy! You sound similar to myself. I'm only short and my first son was 9lbs 1. I measured spot on with him too! This time I've consistently measured three weeks ahead. All scans and GTTs have been fine, so it's likely this is another big baby!

How far gone where you when you had your son? I was about 40+6 when I first started going into very early labour with mine, so I was worried about going into labour this time once I started mensuring 40/41 weeks. Makes no difference now after this last week cos he's getting cut out tomorrow anyway!

Just try to take one day at a time, do as much as you can before baby arrives, but don't do too much. The last thing you need is your blood pressure going up, trust me!!

Thanks Hun!

I was 40+13 with DS. I would rather go over just to try and have extra time sorting the house but nothing ever pans out like that!

I'm not concerned about measuring big last growth scan was fine no extra fluid and I do feel like it's all baby. I think I will keep my legs crossed and hope for the best!

Lots of luck tomorrow will be exciting to meet LO :)
Xxx

I don't think just because you're measuring ahead means baby will come any sooner. I think the general rule is if you were over due with your first it's more than likely to follow suit this time too. (This is what my midwife said to me anyway)
I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead and we've been talking about induction at 41weeks.

I would be extremely shocked if I don't go over. I've fully expected to be a week late as my LO was 8days over.

That's good to hear, my consultant appointment is week 41 so if I get close to 42wks as much as I can't wait to meet baby it will make all the difference to moving back home!

I know you can't plan these things but I'm living in hope!xx
