just come back from the midwife... and everything is great.. baba is growing fine... phew thank god for that, also i'm measuring at 28 weeks which is fine but i thought i was much smaller....

she could find baba by feeling my belly... but is that okay?? i always have question but i never ask them :wall: it's like i get side tracked...

Hi Neeko,

You might remeber me posting but at 23 weeks i was measuring 25. And she felt where the baby was and said everything was fine and he was nice and big. So i wouldn't worry.

I put a post it not in my diary and write down any questions that i think of between appointments. That way i don't forget anything.

Or i end up coming out of my appointment with loads of stufff i forgot to say!

Hi

Im measuring a bit bigger as well , for some people they still have average size babies and others have bigger ones.

I measured about 2 weeks ahead most of the way through and had a 9lb baby which I would say is on the big side. Depends on how they are lying and stuff though, i am pretty sure that some weeks I was spot on for dates whereas others I was big. Apparently its not all that accurate a way of measuring the babys size anyway(think i read that on hear somewhere).

with my first i was measuring 2-3 weeks bigger all the way through my pregnancy, but when she was born she was only 7lb 5oz, m/w keeps saying this time that baby feels quite big and is a very nice size but i doubt he will be that big (i hope)

Lovely to hear your LO is just fine in there neeko :cheer:
And like many mummies have said, the measuring big/small issue doesn't necessarily mean anything, it's not a rule as such. At 26weeks I measured 29cms and MW said LO was fine.

Like you I sometimes to forget to ask things, so great idea there from lmarszall about keeping a note of questions to ask :)

Best Wishes

Hi Neeko

glad to hear all is going well with you and LO. Don't worry about being a bit bigger than your dates there's plenty of time for things to change yet. I don't think it means too much really. I was measured 20cm at week 20 by the doc then 5 days later measured at 25cm by the hospital! I reckon it was the Chinese takeaway I had the night before! LOL

Good tip about writing notes in between midwife check ups. I shall do that myself. :)
