This is just a general question regarding buggies!! I only have a ford KA at the minute, we may be getting a focus but if I dont we have the problem of what buggy I should get!!!??

I really need some help!!! I know no one has probably got the same problem but just wondering if anyone got advise on prams etc!!!

We have a Zafira but when wrigglebum turns up we will be a family of 6 + dog so have very limited boot space. 4 Wheelers tend to fold smaller than 3 Wheelers. I unfortunately need a 3 wheeler so have done loads of research into how small they fold and whther the wheels are easily removable to make it even smaller and then checked the weight. Go into all the baby shops near you and have a good look at different ones fold them up and set them up again and see what type of pushchair you want and then do some research on the net as to which one of that type suits you best

Can you put one of the back seats down on it's own or do the whole back row move together? I've got a mini and got no chance of finding a pram that'll fit the boot so planning on putting one of the back seats down and putting the pram in through the boot onto that seat a little!

Ill be interested to read your replies, we are in the process of getting a focus as our car is toooo small for 4 of us plus buggy. My friend said prams with 2 handles are better for space saving as they fold down smaller than the ones with one sontinuous handle, as however small they go down they are always going to be as wide as the handle. Hence taking up more room.

Hiya I have got exactly the same problem! I have a KA, have been to a few baby shops and in chatting with a local baby shop owner she said that I would be lucky to get one to fit in the boot - well of the type I was looking at anyway, so I have decided to change my car and postpone pram buying! I don't want it to turn into a nightmare where you have to put the seat down and take off wheels all the time. xx

I too have a Ka - I'm hoping I can take the parcel shelf off and kind of half stand it up??!

I had this same problem, although moreso with finding car seats that fitted.

My car is a corsa which doesn't prove much of a problem with fitting seats but my husband has a Hyundai Getz (3 dr) and it seemed like nothing would fit. We went to Babys R Us and they had a list of cars and what types of seats would fit each make and model which helped, however the only one they had that would fit both the car seat in and also has a pushchair small enough to fit was the smaller Graco pushchairs, and the seat only fitted in with the car seat base. We also contacted Hyundai to see what they could recommend but they came back with the only possible car seat that would fit being the Britax. We then tried this but it didn't fit properly (the seat belt was too short to go around).

In the end we got a Bebe Confort pushchair which just fits in the boot of our cars and also had to buy the carseat base in order for the carseat to fit. We had just about given up at that stage though.

Incidentally, Mamas and Papas had told us that one of their pushchairs (can't recall which one) would even fit into the boot of a Mini! When we tried it in our Getz but unfortunately it didn't fit . So my advice would be just to keep trying different ones until you can find one that fits.

Thanks for your help ladies!!! It make me sooo stressed not knowing what I can buy!

Anyhow the OH thinks we will be better looking to see if we can afford a new car and then get the buggy so I am not allowed to look for now!

If anyone does find one that fots into a KA though can you PM me or try and let me know to but my mind at rest!!!! I feel like I am getting no where
