**May Mummies**

Just had to phone in sick to work, feel absolutely awful with this tonsillitis and haven't slept at all all day just been coughing all day aswel so hope it hasn't gone onto my chest. No way can I go to work like this tonight, I was bad enough there last night after I'd had sleep. Feel awful phoning in sick.

Had spotting again this morning when I got home too, only one wipe again didn't bother phoning gp because I've got my booking appointment with the midwife at 5pm so thought I'd just speak to her instead.

I feel so rough its unbelievable xx

Thought i would update to say I have had a miscarriage. Back in on Tuesday to decide how to manage it. Wishing all you ladies the happiest and healthiest pregnancies. X

Last two mornings I haven’t been sick and nausea hasn’t been very noticeable during the day. 10 weeks tomorrow so hoping it’s just because my hormones are balancing out and placenta taking over rather than anything wrong with our little shrimp.

It’s so exhausting having all of these worries, I can’t wait until we are all in the second trimester and feeling much more relaxed and confident!

I know what you mean.

My nipple soreness is more than often nothing now and after that third lot of spotting again yesterday morning I'm terrified.

Saw midwife yesterday and she wasnt bothered about it, she said it's probably because j was coughing so much yesterday and probably strained things. Went through all booking info and things, she said though because I've already had two early scans I wont be scanned in the nhs now until 14 weeks which seems so long away. I'm ten weeks tomorrow too xx

14 weeks?? That’s rubbish! I got my scan through the post before I even saw the midwife I’ll be 11+3 but I think by nhs dates they think I’ll be 12 weeks exactly. I know when I ovulated though so I’m more confident in my dates though.

You’ve had spotting twice and it’s been ok, I think you’re just one of those women that will spot, maybe you’ve got a sensitive cervix or something. Xx

My symptoms have slowly disappeared too! I'm trying not to stress myself out with negative thoughts. I've got chronic tooth pain atm, had to reschedule my dental appointment through hosp here as I'm away but they can only get me in 5th dec, not sure how I'm going to last as i dont have hundreds $ to go to another dentist sooner.

I know 14 weeks is abit rubbish isnt it, one of those scans was private aswel so I dont see why that matters.

Midwife did say aswel that sometimes with a bicornuate uterus that the other side of the uterus doesn't recognise that's is pregnant if the baby is one one horn (which I know baby is in left horn with me thanks to scans), and then sometimes the other side still bleeds because it thinks its not pregnant. My grandmother on my dads side had a period every month until she was 7 months, she didn't even realise she was pregnant until 7 months because of it. Midwife said she probably has a bicornuate uterus too.

14 weeks seems like such a long was away, its another 4 weeks!xx

Sorry for gate crashing your thread here but in regards to your scan if you were wanting the nuchal translucency screening done for trisomys (Down syndrome etc) it has to be done by 14 weeks at the very latest, everyone is supposed to get the option of this screening, I know not everyone opts to have the screening though, also I don’t see why it should make any difference that you’ve had scans already you still need your dating scan within a certain timescale, seems strange to me x

She asked me if I wanted the NT scan for the tests and I said yes and then she said it would be around 14 weeks because I've already confirmed that the pregnancy is "Alive and a singleton ' and that's all they really care about apparently. Seems like such a long time away, and I thought it had to be done by 14 weeks but she was adamant that that's when I'd have my scan and tests and that was that xx

Hopefully shes giving me the longest time scale and it'll come through quicker?x

Yeah maybe that’s what she means, if the sonographer dates you at even a day over 14 weeks they won’t take the NT measurement so it’s cutting it fine really to say you’ll have it done at 14 weeks, I’m assuming she means by 14 weeks! X

Hopefully! She said it would more than likely be closer to 14 weeks because of the two previous scans. And than later on again she said you'll have your next scan at 14 weeks so hopefully she means after 13 weeks but before 14 weeks? Xx
