Hellllloooo Right I think I have everything for baby now, except for a mattress protector for wee and whatever stuff she wants to throw at me

Do I really need one?? If so what would you recommend :)

i dont hav a matress protector, i dont think well need one.

millies not in her cot yet, but all the time sha was in her moses basket and all the time shes been in her travel cot, not once has any wee or poo leaked out of her nappy.

:)

we didnt need one when alana was very small, just put a fleece blanket under sheet as they good at keeping moisture off matress.

but when she was big enough to have a bottles of milk in cot with her we put one on as the milk dribbles soon mount up and make the matress manky.

We've never had one for Erin. We were very lucky in that she was breastfed so never had bottles in bed.

Even when she was tiny, no poo or wee ever leaked out to spoil the mattress in the Moses basket before we moved her to the cot.

I bought a foam mattress for James for about £30 from Mpthercare that could be wiped clean. At that price you can just replace them if they get grotty.
When they're small babies and don't weigh very much I don't think they need an expensive sprung mattress. I've seen some cot mattresses selling for £130! Far too expensive for wee, poo and sick
