Maternity trousers!!!

'ello all, got some linen trousers about a month ago, got them one size up from what I would normally buy and they too have an elasticated waist - which I generally prefer, however I never really felt comfortable in them after a few hours they would feel a bit restricted. So I took them to the dry cleaners to see if they could alter them, the alteration person (whatever he's called) didn't want to cut in the elastic as he said that would streatch anyway but what he did do was put some extra material on the sides (a V shape on each side), and now they fit fab, obviously the linen seemed to be a bit to tight around the waiste for me. Maybe you could try the same, you don't want to go buy more maternity stuff if you don't need to!!

i go for under the bump styles.. they are so comfortable.. as bagpuss17 says you have to wear a belt or a scarve to keep them up... i did have a pair from next that has a front elastic piece.. they fitted lovely on my legs and bum but the elastic dug in around my waist... i ended up cutting into the elastic at work.. and then never wearing them agian.. so maybe its the style you have - try under the bump - try top shop.
