Maternity suit to wear once?

I just realised that I'm going to have a presentation day for my final year project in 1.5 months, and I won't be able to fit into my suit! What am I going to wear?? I so don't want to buy a suit for 1 day and never to wear it again! They are so expensive!

Was just wondering if anyone has any ideas? Maybe I can rent out a suit somewhere?

I even thought about buying a suit, wearing it with the labels on and returning it after the presentation day, but this is so naughty!

Do you have to wear a suit? Maybe a smart top and skirt/trousers or dress that you can wear again? They could always be dressed down afterwards to get the wear out of them. Is there no way you can squeeze into you suit somehow depends how big your bump has got I guess!

tere are plenty of things you can buy to get the most out of normal clothes such a tummy bands incase a top rides up or even these elasticated things that go on your trousers.

i certainly wouldnt waste good money buying any maternity clothes as they are far too expensive

if needs be just buy a couple of items in a larger size instead as one they can still be used again even after pregnancy before the weight is shed and secondly its alot cheaper

well I need to look smart. There will be people looking for new employees as well, plus it's a big deal! I guess a blouse and a skirt would do, but it still needs to be a good smart skirt. Hm...

I already wear my jeans unzipped with a long top (hope no one noticed lol!) as I can't fit into them. And today I actually wore proper maternity trousers. I'm getting pretty big!

well tummy bands won't really do for such an important presentation I'm afraid I will need to have a blouse tucked into my trousers or skirt, so there is no way to hide unzipped trousers.

Have to let us know what you do in the end! Size bigger could def work with a skirt if you pick the style carefully. We're getting to that difficult stage now of not knowing what to wear, altho I don't really have a bump yet so my clothes still ok keep thinking this won't last much longer!

Could you not get away with a smartish but comfy maternity dress that you could then wear later in your pregnancy too? It does seem a wasteful shame to buy a whole suit for the one occasion but a black dress could be recycled plenty as your pregnancy progresses.

this might sound bad but a bought a maternity dress from new look black smart 1 for funeral on saturday and a knew would wear it every again so a wore it kept tag on it gave it little iron next day took back got me money bak x

Just buy a pair of maternity smart pants or dress from new look,

I buy all my stuff from there when pregnant coz it permanently has mat stuff on sale I just bought a lively dress for 8 pound was 30

it was smart kinda works dress with belt round waste the tag in inside u dont see it when u got it on they took back no bother just got me money back x

not a problem, in my first pregnancy i just used my moms clothes saved alot of money . or u could do what u first mentioned and buy a maternity blouse leave tag in then take it back and say it still wasnt big enough hehe
