Right I always thought that when you buy maternity trousers that you buy the same size as you we're before pregnant and then cos of the material part that goes over ur tum they fit all the way through.

Well... I've bought 2 pairs of jeans out of my catalogue (one full length and one 3/4 length) and I got a size 14 as I was size 12-14 before being preg but they are huge round the waist but even baggy on the bum and thighs.

Do I keep em and ill grow into em or should I see what a 12 fits like?

HELP!! :)

I have the same problem. I'm that fed up with maternity clothes that I am just wearing jogging bottoms.

My problems are they are too long in the leg or they don't stay up. I have found some black trousers I like but I'm not wanting to spend a lot of money on them.

I think I'll stick with the tracksuit bottoms only because they are comfortable. They're not very smart but who cares.......xxx

i had to get a size smaller in some shops but the same as pre pregnancy size in others!! and i still fit them!! and i could never get trousers that don't fel like they are falling down!!

Maybe I should get 12 and see what they are like and send the others back?

i would, but its hard to say what you will need later on. I have been lucky so far and only put weight on my bump whereas some people do put weight on elsewhere. The size 12 should fit you for a good while though :)

I orderd a pair of Black trousers and some jeans from my catalogue.. i am sending the jeans back as they are way to big.. but the trousers fit me perfect.. i just ordered the siz in both i was before i was pregnant..

i was size 12 before and have to buy size 16 but the black trousers dont fit me now and the blue jeans are size 16 think but are tight when i sit around. i have bought pj's from stewarts and their getting tighter now.

I haven't found a pair of maternity jeans that do stay up! I've got full length and 3/4 length and I have to wear a belt with both.

I found early pregnancy (till I really popped after about 25 weeks) that my pre-preg size was fine in maternity wear. After that I went up a size purely for added comfort - it worked. I had some bigger trousers etc when I got pregnant but they were too big on me...I actually grew into them as my tummy ballooned. I wouldn't go smaller if I were you.

I had a great bargain today in Dorothy Perkins Sale. Two pairs of cut offs (Previously £18 each) reduced to £10 and buy one get one free!! Worked out at a fiver each! Bargain!

I bought 2 pairs today as well, they didn't have a size 8 (my size before getting pregnant) si I got a 10 and they feel much bigger, they feel like a 12. but they still look good on me so I will wear them. i think they take the precaution to make them a little bigger so you don't have to keep buying new pairs as your pregnancy advances

Maybe I should stick to size 14 and wear a belt but they are baggy on the thighs too and look daft. I'll see what the size 12s are like when they arrive tomorrow. As I was 12-14 before its hard to know which to go for u see. x

I had the same problem as you at the beginning. Infact I was quite chuffed that my usual size was so big in the bum and leg. But be warned... I have just given in and bought two pairs of joggers and I feel like a new woman. My maternity trousers which were originally quite big, are a pain in the arse when I sit down. I find that they cut into my bump when I sit down and are falling down when I stand up!

I've given up on looking glamourous until after christmas!!!!!!!!!!!

I need comfort comfort comfort!
