Can someone please explain how this works to me???

I am on a temp contract at work.... it has been for two different schools but I am employed through the council as a teacher. However when I am due to finish I will have worked for a minimum of a year. An I worked for a further 5 months before this with a different employer.

I know I am not entitled to smp as I will not be employed at the time I am due... Just trying to figure out if I am entitled to anything.

Can anyone help me out with this????

Thanks lote in advance,
Mummy Rich

hiya :)

check out www.dwp.gov.uk/advisers/ni17a

from what you've said you should be eligible for MA but its all to do with how much you earnt over a test period and you have to be able to prove that with wageslips over 13 consecutive weeks during your test period. Without knowing when you are due its hard to give anymore information... its an MA1 form you need from the jobcentre or download from dwp website :D

I think I am due around May 9th...

Forgive me for sounding silly but what is a test period?!?!

I know I have definitely earned over the mat and I have all my payslips from at least february

thanks xxx

ok you'll need to check online or at the jobcentre cos my notes that came with my MA1 form only give information for the test periods for due dates up to March... you can't apply til 11 weeks before your due date. Goodluck :) xxx
