mat allowance - phone number not working

ok, i applied at week 26 as you do, due to start week 29 and its now week 34 (well nearly week 34)
and all i have had is the acknowledgement letter

tried phoning over various days and everytime they put me on hold after the recorded message i get cut off

is it just me or have others had this problem? and is there another number i can phone atall?? i have been phoning the number on the letter.

Every time I phone I get 'Sorry, all our lines our busy at the moment, please try again later' and then it cuts out.

Soryr can't be much help as don't have any other numbers either x

I had something like an 8 week wait when I applied. I kicked off big time about it but there was nothing to be done. They had a huge backlog OK it was backdated and I got a lump sum but it was annoying. Those really relying on the money I do feel for. I was lucky and didn't need it for day to day living.

I'd suggest calling the JobCentre and asking them if there are any other contact numbers than the one you have and explain you keep getting cut off etc.

i'm thinking they just dont want any more moaning hormonal pregnant ladies phoning them
