Mamas and papas Buggies

Hey,
So we went to look at buggies/travel systems yesterday and loved the mamas and papas buggies- ocarro and flip xt2 as they’re both really the same except one has bigger wheels we preferred the ocarro as it had everything we wanted including the folding with the seat on and it folded down so compact but it’s so heavy! And also I didn’t like the bright pink colour.. as I’m having a girl I want something pink but not that in your face pink. She mentioned it’s on sale as they will bring out a new buggy soon does anyone know when they bring out new buggies? The flipxt2 was great as was lighter but didn’t have the bigger wheels on it like the ocarro. Stuck on what to do. Any advice would be great xx

Not sure when they will bring out a new buggy, i was looking at the mamas and papas sola2 though and just on the verge of ordering one which has got a complete travel system including isofix base, I’ve seen mostly good reviews about it, it’s so hard to choose one though, id be interested in anyone’s thoughts on mamas and papas prams too x

Holsf I've not had experience with the prams you mentioned, so can't really help. But I can say that if you buy from mama's and papa's either go on store and buy directly or if ordering online order well in advance. I ordered a nursery set from them many moons ago. Order 2 months before baby was due and delivery date kept getting pushed back. Finally rang to complain and was told the set I'd order had discontinued so they couldn't send the complete set. Lord knows when they would have told me if I hadn't have rang! Ended up with a refund and buying else where.

However, I did buy a sola pram from them (collected in store) and it was fab. Night Owl, I'd totally recommend the solas to anyone. Lovely to push, nice and roomy, and tge basket is a decent size compared to other prams I've seen. It also folds up nice and neatly. Also found mama's and papas do a great pushchair service. I think it's £50 now, if pushchair is no longer under warrenty, they give it a full MOT/service and replace any worn or broken parts. Xxx

My previous buggy was a mamas and papas zoom which was great but iv used it with both boys and would like something a bit girly this time round plus these buggy’s fold with the seat on where as mine doesn’t you have to take it off as it doesn’t have a very compact fold with the seat on. The sola looks nice to, we popped into the shop yesterday for a quick look but had my
Youngest with us and he was a bit bored with so was difficult plus it’s about a 35 minute drive to the closest one as our one closed down. I might go and look again in February and hope they’ve got some new colours out xx

Oh I’m so glad you’ve said that baby.3 as I’ve actually just ordered the sola2 pram I thought to myself I just need to make a decision here otherwise I’ll just be looking forever! I’ve ordered the rose gold frame with black fabric, at least black doesn’t show up dirt as easily it’s a travel system so got adapters to put the car seat on the pram frame and comes with isofix base for car, car seat and carry cot thing aswell x

I had The sola2 with my son 4 years ago. I loved it. Literally used it every day for 3 years.
I got it out last week for this one to find it's gone all funny so got to throw it away.
I found their pram so hardy. It survived my hurricane of a child lol.
Won't be buying another tho as their prices have rocketed since then.

Phew, I’m so glad you’ve said this, I tend to get worried when I’ve bought something expensive incase it turns out to be a load of crap decent prams are just so expensive and I suppose we just don’t know whether we will actually like it or not until we start using it, happy to have seen another positive review for the sola2 though

I used to work in a baby shop so used to dismantle all the pram to check they were made well and took them all on a walk around the shop haha. Ended buying from the rival company tho as I preferred mamas and papas. Hehe

A year ago tomorrow we did our mamas and papas shop
We got the sola2 6 piece bundle as it was half price and our 3 piece nursery set as that was in a sale so for around £1000.
My daughter is 8 months old and I'm still using the sola.
We got a good 5 months using the carry cot part as its quite big and is now home to all her cuddly toys.
Delivery for us was great it was delivered when we had that awful snow at the beginning of the year.

We have done a lot of research already and have decided on the Ocarro. It’s similar to the Oyster 3 but just looks that bit sharper.

We bought the armadillo flip xt about 3 years ago before having our little boy and it's still going strong! We used the carry cot for around 6 months, the newborn car seat for about a year and we're still using the buggy. It is all totally fine to use for our next one. We also found mamas and papas to be brilliant - it was a high risk pregnancy so we didn't know how far we'd get or how things would turn out but we bought the travel system in the January sales when I was only about 14 weeks pregnant and luckily everything went fine but they would have given us a full refund if it hadn't! Xx

My family have started buying bits of clothing already! I’ve told them to keep the receipt and packaging just in case!

I love the look of the ocarro but the pink is just tooo pink! The flip xt2 is exactly the same but with smaller wheels and slightly lighter just want something girly, wondering if they will brin anymore colours out xx
