I wondered if you help? I remember a wee while ago you posted a thread to say you had SPD starting again and I wondered if that's what I am getting? I posted a thread a couple of days ago to say I feel as though someone has kicked me in my lady area with steel toe capped boots on . It was only when I was walking and moving about but now I seem to be waking up in the middle if the night with this constant dull ache. I've googgled this online and SPD came up a couple of time and wondered if this sounds like it you? And what I can do to help it?

Any advise or help much appreciated :)

Sounds very much like it hun, pain can be in the pelvic area, back, legs, pubic bone :( turning over in bed is a problem or generally getting comfym

When I had it with my son I had to go to a physio who gave me a belt to wear whilst walking. It definitely helped. I also got a clicking in my pelvis, it was horrible when I think of it :(

So far I'm experiencing it very mild so far but do believe it will get worse :(

My obstetrician sent me straight to the physio department that day to get an appointment booked so mention it to your dr hun xxx

I was wondering how do you know if you have SPD? I have had backache thoughout but recently it's got worse and have a really bad pain in my coccyx - like i have landed on my bum and it's bruised!!

Back pain can be common in pregnancy but the SPD does mostly offend the pelvic region :( although you can have assosiated back pain/leg pain as well xx

Thanks for that Mamafy I was wondering of it was too early on but then I suppose it could be cause I'm having twins?

Anyway thanks again I have my first appointment at the twin clinic to see a consultant in a week or so's time so I will mention it then.

Definitely more common with twins xx

I'm suffering with this and its becoming agony!
I mentioned it to my midwife a few weeks ago and I was given a number to ring a physio. They talked me through some gentle exercises and tiold me how to move around. I can't get a proper appointment with one though as they are too short staffed so at the minute I'm just struggling along trying to cope.

It's definatley worse at night and I feel like crying sometimes when I'm trying to turn over as ii's just agonising. And if I sit in the same position for too long then I sort of seize up and it hurts then too... The things we women have to go through eh?

Definately mention it to a midwife straight away just incase there is any sort of waiting list to be seen by a physio. Hope you don't suffer too much xxx

 Rakrak, know exactly what you mean :( xx

Thanks rakrak, definetly will mention it when I go. That's a shame that your suffering so badly with it without any support, how awful for you. I see they do support belts in Mothercare maybe they might help you out in the interim? Mamafy do you know if they would be any good?

Thankfully at moment I'm not too bad although it has got worse over the last couple of days. Hopefully it will stay at bay for a wee while longer.
