If i sit down to long or walk to long i get this really bad pain at the very tops of my legs nearly in my groin, sometimes it really really hurts to stand up straight and walk if i have been sitting a while. Just wondered if this is SPD?? Can anyone help? If it carries on much longer think i am going to have to go to the doctors.

Hmm do you mean like your pubic bone area? Or your actually legs?

Yep sounds like it hun :( It may not be but more likely is unfortunately! Its amazing how many women suffer with it!
Go see you doc or MW and they will refer you to the physio! they will give you exercises to do to help keep the bones in place etc so hopefully it wont get any worse!

I've had symptoms of SPD but wonder if there is any point in going to the physio. I know it's not so bad if I don't over do it and gets really painful after a lot of activity.

Can I cause myself any lasting damage by not getting physio??

Im not sure hun!? I dont think you will get lasting damage but it may get worse!? Theres not a whole lot they can do tbh but they can help you prevent it and if your bones move I know they can pop them back into place (hee hee sounds lovely)
I have never had this before its something that totally new to me but a few ladies on here have had it a couple of times so they may be able to help better!!

I've been feeling pains in the inner tops of my thighs, front and back of my pelvis and down the back of my buttocks into the leg for a while now. Some days I hardly have any pain at all, others I'm in agony and I'm sure it's all to do with SPD. I mentioned to my midwife and she suggested physio, at first I wasn't sure but I figured I've got nothing to lose so I'm going next week.

Hopefully they'll show me more than just sitting sensibly!

oh great!!! thought it might be. i am going to the midwife on the 12th of september so will mention it then :? :(
