Makes me feel sick!

Just before OH lost his job back in febuary (managing an internet cafe) a bloke id say in his 30's really simple in mind came in and was looking at child porn - i saw it (and i had the kids with me) i reported it to the police and they turned up - well in fact 4 cars, 8 police officers and a police dog! he saw them come in the shop and just sat there and closed the window on the screen didnt flinch didnt bat an eyelid and didnt make no attempt to leave the shop whilst the police were talking to me and my OH even though the police had not said a word to him up until they arrested him.

They arrested him took him to the local police station and took the pc he was on away for evidence.
A few days later we were asked to give statments to the child protection unit which we did he was then bailed until the end of july to give them time to search the pc from the shop and his home pc. At the time we were told they had found enough evidence in his flat without either of the pc's to put him away for 5 years and that he had pictures of children all over his walls

Anyway hadnt heard anything since then and we werent asked to go to court in july until this morning when we had a letter come through.
We were never actually told what it was he was charged with but on this letter it says
possess indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child x19
make indecent photograph of a child x3

this is without all the stuff on the pc's which he is yet to be charged for

makes me feel physically sick that this bloke was near me and my children

OH now wishes that i had waited before calling the police as he is dying to kick the crap out of him

Thats awful why do people wanna look at pics of kids make me sooooo bloody mad.

I hope he gets put away for a very long time

good on you though just think that if he was actually amking these pics (if i read that right?) then you have potentially saved some family from going through it.

its awful to have something happen around you when we all prefer to think these sickos are on someone elses doorstep.

thats the way it came across to me but i wasnt sure i read it right neither
it really does make you think that you never know who anybody is makes me want to wrap my kids up in cotton wool forever!

one thing that did come out when they first arrested him though was that he didnt previously have a criminal record so he could have been doing this for years without anybody knowing

it makes me think what else has he done that nobody knows about the thought actually scares the hell out of me

K X from what we found out after he had been going into all the internet cafes in the area and doing it but none of them had realised!

its the sort of thing you try and put to the back of your mind tbh else you would live in fear of ever letting your kids out of your site for even a second but getting this letter from witness protection today has bought it all back up again

we are not required to go to court when it goes back there in december though we would both like to go to see the scumbag get what he deserves i dont think id be able to control my temper now i know all that though

I wonder if he wanted to be caught because he felt guilty about it but had to much of a compulsion to stop. Why would you look at this stuff in a public place otherwise??

They need to be locked up for much longer than 5 years, not much of a deterent.

witness protection rang us this morning

apparently another 37 charges have been added to the original list from child porn to animal porn

we asked what the 'make indecent photograph of a child x3 ' meant exactly the way she put it was sitting in parks or outside schools taking photos of kids

and what makes it worse is that his 'unconditional bail' means he is still walking about the streets now

they have said we can attend court if we want to - i dont think i would be able to control my temper if i saw him though the sick b*****d
