I told my sister that once my baby is born id like to work and leave my man at home with the baby, she said i wont be able to support 3 of us on minimum wage, but ive been told that if im working my man wont be entitled to any benefits.

Is this right?
If so how does this all work?
Because I know alot of people live like that whether one parent works
and one stays home.

If Ive got it wrong, would he be entitled to anything or would we as a couple/family be entitled to anything?

We dont have our own place we live with his parents

My hubby works and I'm on Incap benafits due to my dissabilty.
Now I'm pregnant we're not entitled to anything else due to hubby working more than 16 hours a week.

Dosen't help when all his money just about covers the bills and food :(

My partner works 40/45hrs a week and I stay at home with our DD. We get child tax credits, working tax credits, and some housing/council tax benefit x

You'd be entitled to child benefit (£20 a week), child tax credit, working tax credit (if you work over 24 hours a week).. And then help with paying the rent and council tax when you move out xx

Has working tax credits not gone up to 30 hrs now? x
