Has anyone had this and it's moved up? At my 20 week scan last week I was told that my placenta, although anterior, was low so I've been booked in to go back at 36 weeks to check if it has moved up. It's probably just them being over cautious but it doesn't help my anxiety.

I don't know the details but a friend of mine was told she had a low anterior placenta and would need a C-section if it hadn't moved. She had her baby last week vaginally on g&a only so hers had moved!

It's definitely possible. Try to stay calm about it and prepare for both options of a C-Section and vaginal birth so you're ready for either option after your scan. Good luck!

That's good to know :) thank you. You've put my mind at ease. I'm glad it moved for your friend :)

I was told my placenta was low at my 20 week scan. They said it was likely to move on its own as baby got bigger it would push the placenta up. However, if this did not happen I would need a c-section. I went back at 30 weeks and sure enough it had moved.

You still have plenty of time for it to move, good luck x

Thank you sunny sue, i hope mine does too. I feel more at ease now :)
