Low amnio fluid

I had a emergency scan yesterday when they realised that all the pain and scraping Id been getting is due to her being breech. Great! But when she scanned around the baby she said the amnio fluid looks really low and I have another scan tomorrow for a more accurate look. The options for this were a leaking channel, baby's not producing, pre e, or something else. I mean I've never been down this road before and I've been crying for since leaving labour ward yesterday not knowing what's going to happen and if this is dangerous etc? I am constantly failing my babies and something always seems to go wrong!! can anyone help or experienced this before? Xxx

Hi you're not failing at anything ! These things are totally out of your control and can happen / have happened to other women so you mustn't think like that.

I don't know a lot about it although apparently my mum's fluid was low towards the end. I have heard of ladies with low fluid being induced earlier - as also happens with a breech baby (if you go down the section route that is) x

You are not failing your babies at all, you are doing the best you can. Some things are out of our control and that can make us feel useless and guilty but there is nothing you have personally done to make this happen.

The hospital will keep a close eye on you and hopefully be able to put your mind at ease.

Thanks all, I just really hoped by now I'd start to feel happier and healthier. I'm just exhausting myself with emotion and Feel shattered. I'm going to have the scan at 2.20 tomorrow so hoping they tell me it's there machine that's not very accurate x

Thanks everyone. Well I've remained optimistic all night but so nervous. I've had the squits for two days with period pains which doesn't help and feel sick so hoping this isn't pre L. I guess they will assess me later x
