Hello, Has this happened to any one else?

When Oliver was 6 weeks old I would be out with him all day, I go any where It did not bother me. But now I feel worried to take him out. I am finding been organised with his solid food hard. Before I did not need to take anything with us! Also I think the with the weather changing I am worrierd he will be too cold outside. I know its going to get colder than this! In the winter I always get depressed so maybe thats anther reason why I finding it hard to go out with him. If I stay in I get down too so I feel weird at the minute!

How can I stop the cycle before I get really down??

i know what you mean hun - i did start to panic a bit when i had begun weaning alex - suddenly its not so simple anymore!

to be honest i think i just forced myself to get on and go out when i started to feel like this. it really isnt that bigger deal. a jar of food or container of home made stuff, if he is happy with it at room temp (would suggest its not a bad idea to get them used to it like that - less hassle) then just the food and a spoon, bib and a muslin might be handy. if he likes it warm then heat it before you go and pop it into one of those bags that keep it warm.

i think if you sit down and work out a plan you'll realise its not as bad as you think. i guess as i am back at work and have to take alex by bus to my mil's that i just had to get on with it. it forced me to do it otherwise i think i would be worrying too.

as for being cold - i shouldnt worry too much. as long as they have a warm coat, hat & gloves then they will be fine. they are tougher thatn we think :D

how about making a date with someone to meet up in town (that way if you have forgotton anything you can usually buy it there - done that before now!), once you've made it it will give you a reason to go.

jadie you don' have to go far whn you go out. Just a walk around the block or to the park or something. That way ou dson't have to think about taking food out.
I think its important to get out everyday if you can. :)

I agree, don't sit in or you'll end up feeling worse, just go for a quick stroll or nip into town, meet up with friends, just a change of scenery makes all the difference, everywhere you go now (cafes etc) should cater for people with babies, i know the majority of places did when my son was weaning!!, get yourself out and just wrap him up and he'll be fine!!

Thanks girls, I feel really bad today. Oliver has a cold so I have not taken us too any groups. I dont want to pass it on to any one else. So I have not been out for two days! I am going crazy in the house! He has gone down for a nap now... So time for me to start tea!!! )rying to remind myself its better than work)
