Have you lost your baby belly (jelly belly)/weight.

Im interested to know how you did it, how long it took

Thanks girlies

Pfffft! Some hope in hell haha. I've lost the weight and I'm in my old clothes but a year on my belly is still wobbily! I've been exercising and dieting but it's not working for me now so I've given up now. I'm a little bit thinner than I was but flabbier. Depends on how good your stomach muscles are, mine are poo

Erm so maybe I will keep the jelly belly then!! Getting abit older now.

What type of exercises did you do?

What diet?

What about one of those Slendertone belt thingies? Do they not help?

Diet all I did was eat salad really. I'd have toast for breakfast or fruit. Then a salad for lunch and then salad with some form of meat for dinner. I'd snack at yogurt and snacka jacks in the day.

Exercise was mainly a lot of walking and sit ups. Along with various other bits and pieces. I do quite a bit of running on the spot so to burn off fat. I started running for 2 mins then 3 mins and so on. If you like swimming that is meant to be brill!

I didn't really start doing it until my son was about 4 months as I had a c section and had to go very slowly. I'm fully fit now though so I can push myself quite a bit.

Hun enjoy your baby for a few more months before you start trying to get a diet and exercise routine going. The weight will naturally fall off over the next few months but it's the wobble that gets you down. As they say though it takes you 9 months to put it on it's gonna take a while to get off. I know how bad you can feel about your body after having a baby though hun.

Thank you.

Ive always been a size 8, weighin max 7 1/2 st. Im now 9st and in size 12. It is getting me down abit as I feel chunky but having said that I am still eating what I like and when I like. Also, I think because so many people said to me 'Oh you will loose that baby weight straight away as you are tiny before'. I sort of hoped that I would be losing some weight by now. I havent lost any since after Isabella was born.

Awww hun it will happen trust me. I looked flaming awful after having my son! I have pretty much always been a size 16 and by full term I was a size 24-26 so can imagine what my stomach looked like after having my son. It was just a mess! I'm now back to a size 16 but can push myself to a 14. I tend to exercise on and off and I'll diet on and off as well. If I dieted non stop I'm sure I'd lose more but with having the baby I don't have time to be chopping up salad and cooking healthy all the time so I just do what I like again now I'm back to the weight I was. Just relax about it hun, it's only been a few weeks since you had your baby, you've got plenty of time and I'm sure you look fine :D

I have a friend who tightened up her middle with a hula hoop! She became really good and everytime she boiled the kettle to make a cuppa or a bottle she'd hula! I'm definitely going to do this after i have my LO

I lost mine, but then I'm not particularly slim (size 14 and 11st 7lb).

He he skatty, I love to hula - havent done it for a while though.

About 5 years ago my step neices got hula hoops for Xmas and all the adults were playing with them it was so funny.

I'm going to try hula-er-ing! haven't done it for years so will be quite amusing!

If hula-hooping works then I'm game!

I'm not sure whats happened to me, I put on weight after Olivia was born but then started to diet and exercise about 2 montha ago and although I can now fit in my old clothes the scales say I'm a stone heavier than pre pregnancy (and I don't have as much muscle tone now either which would make me weigh more!)

Does anyone else find that they've got cellulite on their belly now? Painting a very attractive picture of myself!

Im really scared / worried / paranoid about this part of things to be honest. I already have / had a wobbly belly before hand and am I size 18. I was dieting before hand which my Dr said I can carry on with this diet just substituting a few things (the GI Diet) so I hope that will stop me balloning to a huge amount but who knows! I am petrified about it, Ive struggled with my weight since I was 14, and had finaly found a diet - well not really a diet just a way of eating - they I enjoyed and was working for me and was starting to get my confidence back (only a little bit) but Im worried if I balloon, and cant loose the weight afterwards I will fall in to some kind of depression, which I really do not want. Im even (although I know it way to early etc lol) looking in to surgery so that if (when) I loose the excess and (hopefully) get to a 14, if I have lots of flabby skin I can have it removed

Anyway so after that bably what Im trying to say is, I dont really know fully how you feel as Ive not had the baby yet, but im starting to feel it already lol. I dont agree with this loosing the weight in 6-8 weeks or less like the celebs do though, surley that is not healty!!

i can honestly say try slimming world, you can follow it through pregnancy too with consent of your midwife, you eat tons and lose weight and unlike weight watchers are never hungry :D

i followed it with my son, i was a size 16 before pregnancy, put on 15lbs throughout and lost 18lbs the week he was born

im now 17wks pregnant with my 3rd child and 5lbs lower than i was the 1st week of my pregnancy, im aiming to not gain anymore than 15lbs if possible, and im breastfeeding too so know itll come off

seriously think though that if you eat enough of the right stuff and not starve yourself you wont give up

( we had stirloin steak for tea with onions and mushrooms and " sin free chips" ) the only thing i had to weigh was the potato 8) and i was stuffed :cheer:

Oh Jennywren please dont worry to much at the moment if that is possible. When you do have your baby it does all seem worth it and you can still do you GI diet afterwards.

Im going to look into slimming world that sounds great about being to eat and not feeling hungry all the time.

Hula & slimming world here I come!!!

my before i had myy dd i was a size 10 -12 im now a size 14 and i feel happier than i ever have i worked out to lose the wobbly bits and exausted myself so try not to rush into losing weight

Sassyminx I have bought the slimming world diet instructions and recipes off of ebay and want to start once I have had my baby as you can also follow it breastfeeding can't you? I've heard loads of good things about the diet and really hope it will work for me because it sounds like my DH can eat the same and not feel like he's on a diet, he really doesn't need to diet but likes to be healthy.

Well done on your weight loss :D

I was lucky, I was a size 10 before hand and was all the way through my pregnancy (in maternity clothes). I only put on just over a stone and it came off straight away after the birth.

Just need to tone up the jelly belly now. I haven't started exercising yet. I've just bought Nell McAndrews DVDs to do at home and I'm hoping to get back to Yoga classes.

For now I'm just getting out and about with the puschair.

A lot of people lose the weight running around after their babies once they get mobile so I'm not going to get stressed about it just yet.

I feel tired still so I'm going to build up the exercise routine slowly.

I didnt find losing the extra weight a problem, I have a healthy diet anyway so I just did slim fast then went back to my old diet and its stayed off. The problem I have is my stomach muscles have distorted so my stomach looks like a doughnut, where its wobbly and raised around the outside and sunken in the middle. And where I got stretch marks although they have faded I have exess wrinkly skin now. I look fine when dressed (a little pod) but naked it looks distorted. I cant excercise now because Im PG again so sit ups not a good idea! But I will be doing the whole hula thing that sounds fun! - That and once I have finished having kids I will have a tummy tuck!

i have had 3 sections and have a major overhang :( .

keep getting infections there as well. :(

good thing is once i get to an acceptable weight and maintain it i am going to beg a tummy tuck on the NHS, which is available after sections. good news hey Cat.
