Hey :D

I just got the internet back on and whoa, so many topics to read! Just got a quick q tho, nearly 3 months since my c-section, for the women who had one, when did you start exercising again and what were you able to do specifically? Really wanna start losing weight, Im bf-ing too so a bit apprehensive!

Thx and its good to be back! :rotfl:

I'm sure I saw something about this on the Baby Channel a few months back. I remember the lady saying that you shouldn't do sit ups because of the way your tummy muscles have changed and then recommended some other ones instead. Don't know if this is a regular feature, but if it is, then it may be worth checking?

Otherwise, won't your HV or GP be able to recommend something gentle which is safe for you?

I started power walking for an hour a day at eight weeks once my Doc said it was ok. The weight came off gradually but I lost it all within a few months.

With regard to exercising your stomach, you need to be very careful. There are specific exercises you can do after a c-section - try getting a book on post natal pilates for example. That's what I boguht and there are some good / safe exercises to do in there. You need to build it up very gradually though.

Good luck.
