Still nothing. Spent yesterday getting them every 10 mins. About midnight they got REALLY painful and droppped to 5/6 mins apart lasting for over a min for about 3 hours....then they slowed again. Am REALLY fed-up now and could cry in frustration. OH keeps saying, "she''ll come when she is ready". I KNOW that. I wish I could either just get on with it or stop all together. It's this half & half that is annoying me. And I'm fed-up with people calling and exclaiming "haven't you had that baby yet" - like I am deliberately not giving birth. Back to gently contracting away.
I completely understand though, I had a weekend of contractions and then it stopped and nothing even near that has happened since! It's SO annoying being in limbo. I'd rather have all the symptoms and then go into labour, or not have anything. It's the "is it? Isn't it?" that is the most frustrating part.
Oh and I'm getting peed off with the questions too! I'm not even in my due date week yet and people seem to forget that's it's more common to go OVER than baby be early. xx
Aww hun how frustrating no wonder your getting fed up hopefully it will all kick off properly very soon for you, just try to remember although it feels like pain and discomfort for no reason all these contractions will all be making small differences to your cervix and hopefully will make the actual labour process quicker and easier when it finally gets here!!
Ah well, it's all stopped. She definitely has her daddy's sense of timing, I can never get him out the house on time and he usually has to go back for something he has forgotten. Had a lovely day though, the sun is shining so we went to Shaldon and had a walk along the beach and watched an air display including the red arrows. Gonna take the opportunity to keep on sleeping...while I still can. Middy coming round on saturday. Hopefully I am gently dilating and the actual birth will be quite quick. (well, I can dream!!)
Keep popping in here to see how everyone is doing.
Hope that baby gets a move on soon for you.
I can really sympathise as this is very similar to what I experienced before Ruby was born - if it is of any consolation, it was very quick once it started for real; I'd had plenty of sleep as the early contractions/ part of labour didn't really hurt or bother me this time around. It makes a lot of difference if you're well rested beforehand, it really does.....so make sure you get any sleep you can and just try and relax until it really kicks off.
