Looking for a really good doctor

Hey girls, I am new here
I am 35 and several weeks pregnant (just found out last week)
I am already so overwhelmed by all the information out there - NHS/ hospitals/ private Vs nhs.
I called my GP office but their next appointment is a few weeks away (weird!) so I self referred myself to a hospital but they also take their sweet time.
Is that the norm? I don’t know. So I need help
I am originally from the States.

So ladies, I’m looking for a really good doctor; public or private.
I also have spinal fusion plus I’m 35 so just want to make sure that I’m in good hands.
I’ll appreciate any advice and recommendations.
