Is it a slow worm or a snake? A snake by the look, though we don't have either over here, nearest we get is 2 foot long earthworms and ian paisleys penis

she looks so cute  she's not cuddling that bloody snake is she

uuurggghhhhhh to the snake... I'd have flipped out!

Maybe the garden air knocked seed out! or maybe it was the mystic powers of the snake :rotfl: :rotfl:

a slow worm isnt a snake its a lizard that evolved 2 have no legs as it doesnt need them!
they have eyelids thats how u tell them apart from snakes.

sorry to be a bit of a boff but i was amazed when i found that out.

aw wow that's fantastic!!!! I'd love to see one of them for real!

i keep snakes here, got 14 at the last count!

Cool Slow worm 8)

Used to love finding those as a kid and kept them in a tank for a while each year. Harmless and yup, legless lizards :)

DD goes hunting for slow worms and frogs in our garden, she loves lifting up the rocks and shrubby things trying to find them. She was chasing a frog the other day  I blame her grandad who had her killing slugs on Friday :shakehead:

My sister used to go hunting for them too, did you know that their tails detatch if they think they're in danger?

Newts are a protected species in the UK so if you can find it and release it back outside it would be good.

:) Lucky you seeing one, most people won't see one in their lifetime if they continue to decline at the rate they are. Already now hardly anyone sees them in the wild.

I have never heard of a slow worm before!!

Can you get em anywhere or are they native to the Isle of Midna only??!
